When it rains it pours, and we’ve been spoilt when it comes to some of our most loved local showrooms getting an upgrade. Having explored the new Articolo showroom by David Goss earlier this week, today we take a walk through the newly revamped Cult Sydney showroom. To celebrate their milestone 20 year anniversary, Cult brought on Melbourne studio DesignOffice to renovate its flagship showroom – including a significant extension to the neighbouring warehouse space on Levey Street.

Attending the showroom launch last week, we were struck by the thoughtful way this new design reflects every brand in Cult’s collection – both well-established and new arrivals. Dedicated brand areas each distill a sense of the brand in aesthetic and material; be it dark timber and strong forms for Karakter Copenhagen or sleek and modern for Bang & Olufsen. As one of the new brands joining the Cult roster, Karakter Copenhagen joins other international brands such as Nanimarquina, Zanotta, Tecno, Vipp, Louis Poulsen, Montana and Design Letters in partnership with Cult.

The revitalised Cult Sydney showroom also affords the brand the opportunity to share its own Australian collection NAU, designed by Adam Goodrum. Also designed by DesignOffice, the NAU gallery provides a centrepiece of the showroom, bringing the focus back to home soil amongst some formidable international companions. Whether you’re there to shop or simply take in the design gravitas that surrounds you, you won’t be short on inspiration in this new showroom space.

“Having previously designed the signature steel staircases in our Melbourne showroom, this collaboration with DesignOffice is a natural evolution that pays homage to the growth and changing structure of the showroom over the years.”
