A scintillating combination of structural and aesthetic elements ensures that Casa Chamisero in Santiago, Chile well and truly stands out from the pack. Designed to make the most of amazing mountain and valley views, even while offering complete privacy for those inside, it is a custom timber and steel fence that steals the spotlight here. Wrapping itself around the entire lower level of the private villa, the fence acts as the defining feature of the residence and helps create a micro-climate of sorts inside its confines, thanks to a beautiful reflecting pool and ample greenery.
GITC arquitectura turned to a concrete plinth to give the home a structurally sound base with Chilean wood glass and concrete shaping the interior. It is the first level of the house that contains the double height living area along with other public spaces while the second level holds the expansive bedrooms along with the bathrooms. Confined to the basement are the music room, recreational zones home theater and other fun spaces. A beautiful stairwell connects the various levels even while allowing for unhindered flow of light.
A series of decks, outdoor patios and infinity pool shape the landscape around the mountain villa with luxury being combined with efficiency almost flawlessly. A dashing kitchen in white with red radiance, modular décor in the living room and colorful décor bring brightness to an interior that is otherwise relaxing and neutral.
