is a sleek espresso and cocktail bar housed within London’s historic Royal Exchange building. Designed by Melbourne-based studio , this project is a continuation of their collaboration with which has seen them develop several other locations throughout London, in Shoreditch, Soho, Holborn, Covent Gardens and London Bridge. Taking cues from the building’s rich history, they worked with a local heritage architect to develop a minimalist interior that respects the site’s past. A refined materials palette combines Carrara marble counters with matt brass foot rails and coat hooks. Underfoot, they restored the century-old floorboards, employing the same herringbone pattern in the marble wall tiles that line the space. The resulting interior is both strikingly textural and beautifully elegant.
