Digital sketch of a cat

My plan for my cat in the pocket.

It’s been a little more than a month since I shared what I’ve been working on in my studio. And, looking back, it’s been a pretty productive mid-June to mid-July! Here’s what I’ve been up to:

Working on my Cat Lady shirt.

In between custom projects, I began experimenting with cats stitched beyond the collar. I started with a kitty popping out of the placket of a shirt. After finishing her, I moved onto the pockets. I’m now working on a giant pocket cat that I hope to complete soon.

When I share my work, one of the most popular questions is, “What is that white stuff on your fabric?” It’s stick and stitch stabilizer, and it’s how I get my digital drawing onto fabric! I share it, along with more of my favorite embroidery supplies, in this post.

Continuing Custom Work

I have instant-download embroidery patterns and DIY kits, but my favorite thing is custom pet portraits. I LOVE bringing your furry friends to life through stitching.

I’ve been lucky to have a steady stream of personalized collars to work on. Here’s one on a denim jacket that I recently completed. I enjoyed working on the jacket because of its larger collar. (What I’m saying is more jackets, please!)
