Hauvette & Madani maximise the small space with bright white walls and painted floorboards, balanced with elegant flourishes that pay homage to the original decor, such as the freshly-repainted architraves, inbuilt cabinetry, and the glamorous antique light feature hanging above the dining table. A staunch commitment to black furnishings in the open-plan living and dining area adds a modern touch to the space, reinforced by the cast iron windows and doors.
The home’s personality really comes out to play in the bedrooms and bathroom, where the turquoise colour palette lines the walls and features in a clever piece of built-in joinery to house the master bed. Featuring an antique wallpaper illustration, the cosy bedroom nook is completed with pastel linens. In the children’s bedroom, the turquoise walls are complimented with timber and wicker materials to create a soothing yet sophisticated aesthetic.
The bathroom features bold monochrome tiling and a large double basin, with the antique mirror and hanging pendant lights adding further character. Throughout the home, these deft touches of contemporary play and classic chic continue to add to the aesthetic, with furnishings like the brass lighting structures of the living room and the ornate rug beneath the dining table particularly catching our eye.
What a space to entertain – we adore the monochrome yet bohemian style of this dining area and all the interesting curios throughout the space.

Monochrome chic with a playful pop of colour here and there – so very French.
