CROCHET PATTERNS:

Mount Tremper Sweater Pattern by Two of Wands

The Mount Tremper Sweater is without a doubt my most popular crochet sweater pattern. The uneven striping gives it a classic look that still lends itself to a modern appeal, and the ribbed cuffs, bottom, and turtleneck create and almost knit look to this quick project.

Mystic Morning Wrap Pattern by Two of Wands

The Mystic Morning Wrap is one of those staple accessories in your closet that you’ll reach for over and over. The versatility of a triangle wrap allows it to serve as an elegant shoulder cover or a stylish scarf depending on how you wear it. The eyelet rows in this design keep it lightweight but the oversized silhouette allow it to be wrapped and bunched for added warmth. Purchase the kit here to replicate this look.

Portsmouth Striped Sweater Pattern by Two of Wands

The Portsmouth Striped Sweater is my crochet ode to the super chunky knit sweater that has dominated the style scene for the last few years. This pattern is incredibly easy and quick to work up and brings crochet fashion to a new level.

Tea House Wrap Pattern by Two of Wands

The Tea House Wrap has already been featured in a pattern suite because it’s Just. That. Good. This baby is one of my most popular patterns EVER and continues to shine in a full array of color combos. It’s one of my most satisfying patterns available as the repetitive nature keeps you chill and meditative, but the random striping adds intrigue and that “one more row” mentality. This is a fall wardrobe essential and I guarantee once you’ve made one, you’ll need a second.

Cross Country Poncho Pattern by Two of Wands

The Cross Country Poncho was designed as a wardrobe staple that could top and elevate any ensemble. It’s like throwing on a blanket over your outfit, only the sophisticated eyelet design details mask this otherwise casual piece as a chic, upscale addition to your look. The Lion Brand LB Collection Superwash Merino really makes this design shine, and you can purchase all of the yarn you need for your project on their site here.

Huntress Vest Pattern by Two of Wands

Is it a vest? A cowl? A poncho? A scarf? This multi-functional piece is a unique item that looks fabulous over a long sleeve shirt or fitted jacket. The asymmetrical silhouette of the Huntress Vest makes it suitable for a range of sizes and the unconventional construction is both intriguing and modern. I thought this design would merely be a trend. but it continues to be one of my top five sellers after six years!

Cuzco Fringe Scarf Pattern by Two of Wands

Let’s not leave out the dudes! While this piece is totally appropriate for the ladies as well, I designed the Cuzco Fringe Scarf with a more manly vibe in mind. While most of my scarves are oversized and more suited to a “shawl” kind of feel, this scarf has a less dramatic silhouette that lends itself to a timeless, masculine look. Any three color combo will look beautiful with this stitch!

Earl Grey Wrap Pattern by Two of Wands

Combining yarns and textures is a favorite design detail of mine, and the Earl Grey Wrap is the perfect canvas to exhibit both of these techniques. Worked up in a combo of Lion Brand Mandala and 24/7 Cotton, the shifting colors and textures keep this simple wrap interesting to crochet as well as wear. I love that it can be worn in so many different ways, and each position shows off a different part of the canvas of this wrap. Grab the full kit on the Lion Brand site here.

Empire Crop Pattern by Two of Wands

Looking for a fashion forward, quick crochet project? The Empire Crop is the answer to your search. Inspired by 90’s cult film Empire Records, this cropped mock turtleneck pullover is insanely soft and cozy and pairs with the mini skirts of the decade that influenced it, or the high-waisted sailor pants of today’s trends. The affordable kit for this project in Lion Brand Vel-Luxe yarn is available here.

Fireside Wrap Pattern by Two of Wands

Last but definitely not least in this month’s crochet pattern suite is the Fireside Wrap. This piece was inspired by old school granny stitch blankets, aka the ultimate cozy vibe. Whether you used them as actual blankets, draped them over chairs to form tents, or pulled them over your shoulders to snuggle under on a chilly day, the iconic granny stitch afghans of the past evoke a special, timeless feeling that I tried to capture in a modern way with this piece. Just like the OG, it is versatile enough to be worn in several different ways, and it will keep you cozy and iconic at the same time. Grab the kit here.

Mont Blanc Cardigan Pattern by Two of Wands

The Mont Blanc Cardigan was a stand out star from my 2016 fall/winter collection, and I’ve worn this easy-to-throw-on piece to more events than any other design in my closet! The piece looks perfect paired with anything from a tank top to a turtleneck and I’ve worn it with both ripped jeans and a sequin skirt – it is so versatile! It was the inspiration for my recent crochet Winds of the Atlantic Topper which has also been a favorite, but this original knit version will always be close to my heart. It’s still available as a kit from Lion Brand to this day, so if you’re interested you can find it here.

Armor Scarf Pattern by Two of Wands

Ahhhhh, the Armor Scarf …. my first love. This is the first piece I ever truly designed and what ended up launching my career in the knitwear biz. I look forward to fall every year just so I can wear this thing! I have made five of them for myself in various colors so I always have one to match every outfit I could put together. Whether you make it in a solid color or use a mish mash of odds and ends in your stash, it’s a statement piece that compliments any ensemble. You can also grab this design in kit form from Lion Brand here.

Cliffside Cardigan Pattern by Two of Wands

The Cliffside Cardigan is something I designed during my 10 month stint in LA when I was longing for east coast fall and weather that would allow me to sport a super bulky cardigan. It ended up working as a coat for LA winter, and I am not kidding when I say I wore this thing almost every day for two months. It’s still a staple in my closet, and I’ve seen so many gorgeous versions of it in different colors from customers that I think it should be a staple in everyone else’s too! Want to get started? Shop the kit from Lion Brand here.

Autumn League Pullover Pattern by Two of Wands

The Autumn League Pullover was a design that lived in my head for years before I was able to bring it to fruition. I’m so proud of this piece and I get a huge smile on my face every time I see someone tag me in one of their projects from this pattern. I put so much thought into the details, and I had to learn several new techniques myself in order to make this guy. It was my first attempt at a top down raglan, first time doing a tubular bind off, and took TONS of trial and error to get the little “v” neck detail just right. This is by far the most worn pullover in my closet and I adore the Lion Brand LB Collection Cotton Jeans yarn I made it with so much. If you’d like to purchase a kit for this design you can find it on their site here.

Cambria Wrap Pattern by Two of Wands

After the success of my Coffee Shop Wrap I have fallen in love with top down knit (and crochet!) wraps. I love the versatility and functionality of them and the touch of elegance they add to an outfit. The Cambria Wrap may be my favorite of all of them, and definitely the one I find myself grabbing over and over again. It is also totally addicting to work up with all of the stitch repeats and textures. For my crocheters out there – keep an eye out in November for my new crochet take on this piece 😉

Campfire Blanket Scarf Pattern by Two of Wands

To me, the Campfire Blanket Scarf is the personification of fall in knit form. The subtle plaid garter stitch fabric worked up in Lion Brand yarn Fisherman’s Wool is warm, squishy, and snuggly and beckons to be wrapped around the body in front of a roaring fire. The rustic vibes and simple silhouette give it a classic look that remains timeless through the years.

Caravan Poncho Pattern by Two of Wands

The Caravan Poncho was designed in response to countless requests for a knit version of my crochet Cross Country Poncho. This throw-on piece looks great over jeans, overalls, skirts, you name it! The easy but impressive looking lace work up the front and back adds a glamorous touch that elevates this piece and makes it worthy of special occasions or everyday wear.

Evening in the Village Turtleneck Pattern by Two of Wands

The Evening in the Village Turtleneck, part of my Cityscape Collection, is one of my most popular patterns from 2018. The classic thermal waffle texture, oversized silhouette, and extra tall turtleneck make this a cozy but sophisticated knit for your wardrobe. I love wearing it long over leggings or giving it a “French tuck” with jeans. Grab the kit with all of the yarn you need to make your very own here.

Coast to Coast Wrap Pattern by Two of Wands

I’ve moved quite a few times over the last two years, including two cross-country relocations that culminated in an epic LA to NY road trip with my dear friend (and model!) Paige. Along the way I was mesmerized by the changing landscapes of this massive country and decided to document it in mosaic knitting form via this masterpiece. The Coast to Coast Wrap has such a special meaning to me, and it’s been incredible to see all of the beautiful projects made using this pattern in so many different colorways and interpretations.

Hearthstone Wrap Pattern by Two of Wands

The Hearthstone Wrap is the newest pattern in the bunch, and I’m thrilled that this design has become a favorite in my catalogue in such a short amount of time. I love challenging myself with each new design, and this one was no exception. I learned how to increase in mosaic knitting charts as well as work a Latvian Braid flat rather than in the round, and I could not be happier with how this piece turned out. I have a lighter weight version planned for the future, but for now you can grab this kit from Lion Brand here using their bulky weight Color Made Easy yarn.

STAY TUNED FOR NEXT MONTH’S SUITE! CAN YOU GUESS WHAT THE THEME WILL BE?
