I started eyeing up this trend at the start of lockdownand I’ve been dreaming of a room to do it in and more importantly time to do it, ever since. It’s such a great idea, particularly for renters who may not want to fully commit to a whole room full of painted walls. This is a great way of getting creative in your home and adding a little pop of colour.

I love the idea of an arch behind the bed, especially if you didn’t have a headboard. This subtle colour, breaks up the space without it being to overpowering.
I love how original this is! It’s a fun way to include lots of different colours and the ripped paper effect means you don’t even need to be too particular along those edges. It works really well in tonal colours.
What a great way to section off your office space in a room. I love this idea of layering shapes and then a shelf on top to tie it all together.
Why not emphasise the curves in your mirror or furniture with a painted archway? This creates a fake alcove which also gives some depth to an otherwise flat wall.
You don’t need to go big to add impact, a smaller shape in a bold colour will significantly change the look of a room with little effort. If you’re keeping it small, try having the shape along the corner line of the room and overlap with shelves or other wall decoration so that it looks purposeful rather than out of place.

This is super cute and I love the way the plants fit the shapes. The whole thing works together and the final effect is a modern, minimal mural. Alliteration not intended.
Two tone walls go one step further by continuing the colour onto the ceiling. It adds drama in an unexpected way and I’m here for it!
