Tip No. 1 – Merge function with beauty
“No matter the space, I always use some type of storage solution that’s both functional and beautiful.” – Kristine Metcalf, lead stylist.

Tip No. 2 – Bring the outdoors in
“Adding a plant is my go-to when styling a shelf and something’s not quite right” – Jen Paul, stylist.
“You don’t need to put together a complex arrangement. You can go to your local market and grab something that will look really pretty and natural in a great vase. When it comes to plants, I would say always invest in faux greenery; you’ll use it over and over. ” – Kristine Metcalf, lead stylist.

Tip No. 3 – Collect with color
“While it’s important to keep books you love within reach, consider the colors of the books you keep on display. A lot of times, we’ll take covers off of books for a more neutral look. It’s all about being mindful.” – Jen Paul, stylist.
Tip No. 4 – Diversify your shapes
“Never be afraid of objects. They are pieces to invest in, I think. They can really balance out a space or a built-in like nothing else can.” – Kristine Metcalf, lead stylist.

Tip No. 5 – Add character
“Every room needs something found, we’re always trying to add extra character, and vintage or vintage-inspired pieces are the best way to do this.” – Jen Paul, stylist.
