Mom With Style: summer travel essentials - The LV Guide
Summer travel season is upon us!

If you’re like me, your first thought after reading that was “finally!” We’ve always loved taking summer vacations and this year, to kick things off, we took our first ever beach trip as a family of four. Needless to say, I learned a lot about what to do (what NOT to do) and, of course, what to pack.

Here are a few of the suitcase essentials for summer travel with your little ones:

Travel Sized Skincare

Even though days are busy on vacation, I think it is very important to take those few minutes to wash your face at the end of a day. TULA makes fabulous skincare and all of their basics come in travel sizes, so you can easily take a cleanser, serum, moisturizer and eye cream with you (and with very little weight to your suitcase!).

This Jet Set kit comes in a cute bag and the Discovery Kit is also a great option to cover your essentials while you’re on your trip.

My Favorite Sunscreens

Speaking of skincare, no matter where you’re headed on vacation, you’ve got to pack your sunscreen. My favorite product is actually a baby sunscreen by MD Moms. It is SPF 30 and great for baby’s sensitive skin, but I will use it for the whole family!

Versatile Clothing

No matter how hard I try to plan outfits for a trip and try not to over pack, it seems as if I can’t help it. Anyone else have that problem?

When we travel, my goal is to bring at least a few versatile pieces that will take me from the beach to at least a casual dinner. I need things that are easy to move in for toddler chasing and carrying a baby around, so for that I almost always pick a caftan. I love MIRTH Caftans for their unique styles and prints. You also can’t go wrong with a couple of great dresses. This white dress from Shop BURU is really cool because you can actually wear it 3 ways (plus it is nursing-friendly!).

Water Wear

Pool, beach, water park or sprinklers. Summer always means that there will be water time.

My favorite place to buy swimwear for the whole family is Cabana Life. They are all UPF 50, so it helps with sun safety on water days. They have the cutest rashguard and trunks sets for boys, sets for girls and infant one-pieces. There are also great mommy and me sets, and I love their rashguards and cover-ups for myself.

What are your summer suitcase necessities?
