Moliere Apartment is a contemporary city retreat located in Mexico City, Mexico, designed in 2020 by Faci Leboreiro.
Description
Passion for wine is the major design axis for this project, where Faci Leboreiro worked closely with the clients to create this city retreat for a couple of wine and cuisine enthusiasts.
By entering through the hall, the visitor is received by a warm ambience where the wooden panels in the walls and ceiling are interrupted by an arabescato grigio marble shelf, which hosts one of the contemporary works of art found through the
Turning through the hallway, the impressive 30 feet long wine cellar, framed in polished brass, hosts the owner’s wine collection – most of which comes from his winery in Valle de Guadalupe. This is the most important element of the apartment; it was designed almost as a museum display, carefully illuminated.
It has also a special niche in the center of the cellar for his favorite cognac.
In the social area, the open kitchen creates a casual ambiance. The long bar separating the kitchen can host a dinner where wine can be paired with the food they prepare – another of the client’s hobbies.

The master bedroom is a space completely devoted to relaxation, art and enjoying the view. All the walls are finished in walnut wood panels and leather. The reading and working area are complemented with Blu Dot furniture, adding a playful detail to the space.
