This modern Scandinavian contemporary renovated villa is located in The Springs community in Dubai, UAE. The kitchen, all three bathrooms were renovated. As well as new flooring was installed and new furniture and joinery were part of the renovation project by . I believe you are already familiar with Karen. If not, here is a quick introduction.
Karen is a passionate individual, wife, artist, designer, photographer, and founder of DESIGN K. Her passion is creating and visualizing new designs and ideas, employing natural talent for art, photography, and design. “Nothing makes me happier than creating spaces and art that bring others a sense of delight and peace.” – says Karen.
The interior style is uncluttered and simplistic and white walls all around. It is mainly the simplicity, functionality, and minimalism of shapes. Colors and materials used to create this soothing aesthetic. The window treatments in the main areas (dining, kitchen, living room, and study) were kept minimal as automated white linen roller blinds were incorporated.
For the kitchen renovation of this villa, the marble selection was natural Carrara Marble stone for the countertops. As well as the splashbacks areas. Using marble be it natural or engineered is frequent choice. I opted for a natural marble rather than an engineered marble. As the finish and pattern compared to the engineered/artificial stone was just so beautiful and natural.
