A style diary from AM to PM
I often get asked what a normal work-day in my life looks like, and my answer is usually something along this lines of this… No two days look the same! It’s one of the things I enjoy the most about running my own business, and I’m very lucky that my business partner, Rohan, and I are always getting to change things up. From appointments, email catchups, shoots and deadlines to special projects and travel, there’s rarely a dull moment. It keeps me on my toes (for sure!), but it also keeps me inspired and motivated throughout the year.
So what does a changing schedule mean for one’s personal style? In my case, it involves a steadfast collection of wardrobe staples that can be easily mixed and matched to suit all occasions, and a rotation of shoes and accessories (some fun, some classic) to keep things fresh. PANDORA’s new
Coffee! Breakfast meetings are my favourite, and today’s is with one of our lovely Studio clients. I’m usually quite casual in the mornings, so a simple shirt with denim and white sneakers is just the thing to get me out the door on time. I will occasionally work out what I’m going to wear the night before, particularly if I have an early gym session in the morning or a big project I’m prepping for. I layer delicate sterling silver and PANDORA Rose pieces to work back with the detailing on my bag and denim. Rohan brings his iPad, I have my diary and impractically-tiny bucket bag (I know, can’t help myself).
Back to the office, and straight into emails and content scheduling for Badlands Journal.
Time to get ready for my next outing of the day; a lunch event with a beautiful beauty brand. I always quickly double-check the invite for location details and dress code before I get ready. After also sussing the weather (another day of sun!), I settle on a white jumpsuit paired back with flats and a textured clutch. This time it’s PANDORA Shine and PANDORA Rose rings & bracelets to complement the neutral tones of my bag and shoes.
After lunch, it’s back to the office again to get started on a new design project. Rohan and I have a quick meeting which involves looking over mood-boards, comparing notes and chatting through some ideas. Then it’s a solid few hours in front of the screen working on concepts.
My last events of the day, a show opening at an art gallery followed by a sit down dinner. Since the weather is on my side, I brave bare legs and layer a turtleneck under a blazer dress instead. I have always loved a pendant layered over a skivvy, so tonight I opt for a single PANDORA Shine Modern LovePods necklace, on the longest setting with matching earrings, bracelets and rings. Last but not least, a red lip to pull it all together.
