Many of my readers ask me where to find minimal, Scandinavian design inspired accessories, decor and furniture for their home. So I thought I’d share some finds over the coming months. To start with I’ve rounded up some stylish and minimalist kitchen accessories from Etsy which is a great place to find unique decorations for the home.
Everything I’ve picked out for the kitchen is both simple in design and useful. I mean if you need new tea towels why not get ones that look great as well as do the job? Or if you need a kitchen tray, why not go for one that would look great on your counter and hold whatever you need it to hold?
My ultimate goal is that everything in my kitchen (and home) should be both practical and pretty – I’m not quite there yet but I’m always working towards it! And we all know that having stuff for the sake of it creates clutter which you then have to declutter!
I’m loving the minimal design and the slim shape of this jug. It’s not the cheapest as it’s handmade but it would look great on a kitchen countertop with some tall greenery or at the kitchen table to serve drinks.
Who doesn’t need a rolling pin? These come in a range beautiful wood finishes – I’m especially loving the pale wood ones. The tapered ends are also a useful addition for all kinds of baking.
Kitchen towels are one item that’s always on display in the kitchen so I opt for a few linen ones as they look great and they are so absorbent too (and never smell!). These ones come in some gorgeous colours but the natural is my favourite.
As pot brushes go, this is so much prettier than those brightly colored plastic brushes. If you’ve got your pot brushes on display, then this eco-friendly one is a must have!
If you store your eggs in the fridge then you probably don’t need an egg tray. But if they’re on the counter, this concrete tray is modern, minimal and of course useful.
We’re back to linen but this time it’s pot holders. These oven gloves come in two neutral tones, they have a super cute shape and they’re made of beautiful, natural linen.
I love the imperfect look of these handmade serving spoons. And much like everything on this list, they super useful but would also make great decorative pieces.
Dishwashing soap is essential in any kitchen so why not go for something natural, beautiful smelling, easy on the eye and most importantly very effective. Apparently this soap isn’t just for dishes but is great for stovetop stains, laundry and more.
I’m tempted to try that dishwashing soap because it’s something I always need and I hate the brightly coloured liquid I currently have. What are you tempted by?
