There is something that inspires me about small studio spaces that are well designed and have a balanced look. When you live in a small space, you have to make such careful choices about what comes into your home and you are forced to adopt a minimal lifestyle. Making these careful decisions about what you place in your space is just as important however when you have more space available, but since it’s not such a necessity it often is forgotten and we can easily just add one more thing, a trap I find myself falling into way too often.
I think this space even though small in surface, looks very spacious because of the light color palette and space around the rather small furniture. It shows us the importance of selecting the right items. The bed is used as a daybed during the day by covering it with linen sheets and pillow cases for a light and airy look. The mirror and as a nightstand (the same one in a bigger size is used as a coffee table as well) form a separation between the two areas. The mirror also makes the room look bigger because of the reflection.
In the kitchen the small round combined with three make an ideal dining area next to the window. The kitchen makes use of wall cabinets all the way to the ceiling to create storage space.
The space is decorated with minimal and neutral items in general, while items like the and the leather armchair give some contrast and character to this otherwise neutral decor.
