This ornament craft is made with something that I don’t use too often in my projects, but wow how pretty did they turn out! Can you guess what it is? (Well I’m sure you read the title). I used glossy vinyl and a craft punch to make these snowflake ornaments – a two step process that’s so easy to add a little punch of colour to your Christmas decor!

TOOLS & MATERIALS:
Glossy vinyl in at least 5 colours5/8″ snowflake punch by Recollections (at Michaels)Transfer paperScissorsMini (5 cm) plastic ornamentsRibbon
DIRECTIONS:

1. Use the craft punch to create three snowflakes in each colour of vinyl (15 snowflakes per ornament). Cut a small piece of transfer paper and stick it to the snowflake (you will go through a few pieces because they lose their stickiness after a few snowflakes). Pull the backing off the snowflake and press it with the transfer paper to the ornament, smoothing out all the ends with your fingernail. Pull the transfer paper off. Do this for all the snowflakes, scattering the different colours around the ornament.
2. Cut some ribbon and string it through all the completed ornaments to hang.

Total project time: about 1 hour for four ornaments.
