I recently had the pleasure of working with Melteca, creating styled images for their new website and catalogue. A leading NZ brand and part of the Laminex group, Melteca surfaces offer a range of solutions for creating exceptional interiors across the design spectrum. Teaming up with photographer Helen Bankers, the brief was to create playful, abstract and inspiring spaces that bring to life the Melteca colour palette. Presented across four different room settings, each of the sets were created out of Melteca product, showcasing the diverse collection of colours and finishes that can be crafted across a range of interior applications like cabinetry and shelving, through to commercial furniture and wall linings.
Green Story
Showcasing a mix of mid-light woodgrain surfaces mixed with pops of green, Melteca Raw Birch Ply was used to create the entire set including walls and flooring. Plinths in Melteca Waxed Maple and Melteca Rock Salt were off set by the bright green Melteca Juicy. For a relaxed indoor/outdoor feel, I chose natural rattan furniture, a beautiful textured rug and lots of natural foliage.
With a mix of whites, beige tones and black accents, this dining room theme was one of my favourites to style. In addition to the set made from Melteca Super White and Melteca Mist, and display sheets in warm hues, the shelving unit and table were also constructed from Melteca product. The versatility of the products got me thinking about several new projects at home!
For this playful, abstract kitchen, an industrial style backdrop was created from Melteca Concrete Formwood layered with a mix of complimentary dark and light greys. The addition of the bold blue wall in Melteca Infinity, the orange cabinetry in Melteca Energise and and yellow bench top in Melteca Olympia Yellow made this the most vibrant set. Taking me outside of my neutral comfort zone but so much fun to style, this theme really shows the scope of the Melteca range.

Woodgrains
Highlighting woodgrains, warm greys, browns and blue shades, the floor and walls of this living room set were created with Melteca Rural Oak and Melteca Malibu. To enhance the warm, textural feel of the products, I chose a beautiful tan leather sofa with ash timber frame, textural rug and statement floor lamp.
