This is a fun macrame project for Halloween but you can also use this tutorial to make a macrame plant holder.

Macrame for Halloween: Pumping holder

MATERIAL:
6 X 3 meter 4mm string (I used natural cotton rope)
2 x 60cm 4mm string
1 wooden ring
TUTORIAL:
1. Fold the strings in half and hang them from the ring- PIC 1
2. Using one of the 60cm string make a Gathering Knot (you can find the tutorial for this knot here)- PIC 2
3. Take the first 4 string and make 25 half square knots (you can find the tutorial for this knot here) repeat two more times- PIC 3

4. Leave approx. 15-18cm gap
5. Take two string (one short and one long) from one batch and two from the next one. Keep the two short string in the middle and one long one on each side- PIC 4
6. Make 5 square knots (you can find the tutorial for this knot here) and repeat step 5 and 6 two more times- PIC 5
7. Leave approx. 12-15cm gap
8. Take two string (one short and one long) from one batch and two from the next one. Keep the two short string in the middle and one long one on each side. Make 3 square knots and repeat two more time -PIC 6

9. Leave approx. 15-18 cm gap and make a gathering knot using the 60cm string.
10. To finish the tassel under the gathering knot, you can unravel the strings and comb, make little knots, add wooden beads or dip dye the ends.
11. Place your pumpkin inside and hang it
