I’ve finally finished my Lily crochet square blanket and also found time to sit down and write the pattern.

Por fin he podido terminar mi manta de ganchillo con el motivo Lily y también he encontrado un rato para sentarme a escribir el patrón.

Aquí os la presento, feliz de poder nuevamente hacerlo desde el Hotel San Roque. Ya no tengo palabras para agradecer a la dirección del hotel y a todo su personal esta nueva oportunidad de mostraros mis trabajos desde sus magníficas instalaciones.

Here I introduce it to you, happy to do it again from the Hotel San Roque. Actually I have no words to thank hotel direction and staff for this new opportunity given to me to show you my work placed in their marvelous facilities.

Comencé a tejer esta manta en un momento muy delicado debido a la hospitalización de un familiar hace ya cerca de un año y tejí más de la mitad de la manta durante esos días de hospital, como ya os avancé AQUÍ.

I began to crochet this blanket in a very delicate moment of my life due the hospitalization of a family member about a year ago and I made more than half of the blanket during those hospital days as I’d already told you HERE.

A pesar de todo, hubieron momentos muy gratificantes, las enfermeras de nuestra planta fueron muy amables y no podemos más que estar agradecidos por todas sus atenciones y cuidados. Muchas de ellas también tejen y terminaban su jornada pasando por nuestra habitación para ver como avanzaba la manta. Incluso hice muestras de mi Lily Square para algunas que deseaban tejerla :o)

Nevertheless, there were very rewarding moments, our floor nurses were very kind and we’ll be always very grateful for all their care. Many of them do crochet as well, and they ended their work journey in our room to see how the blanket was growing up. Even I made samples of my Lily Square for some of them who wished to crochet the same blanket. : o)

Por una vez, tengo que reconocer que estoy bastante satisfecha con el resultado. Ya sabéis que me gustan los motivos sencillos, nada recargados, procuro simplificar mis diseños al máximo. Y, modestamente, creo que éste es un ejemplo de ello: la manta es ligera, moderna… y muy chic :o)

For once, I admit you I’m quite pleased with the result I got. You already know that I like clear and net motifs, nothing overloaded. I always try to simplify my designs to the fullest, and I modestly think this is a good sample:  I think the blanket is light, contemporary… and chic : o)

Nada de combinar colores: sólo blanco roto y dejar que el propio diseño del cuadrado fuera el protagonista.

No color combinations: white broken only, and letting the design of the square itself be the protagonist.

A pesar de haber comenzado a tejer esta manta en un momento tan delicado para mi familia y para mí, o quizás precisamente por ello, le he terminado cogiendo cariño y probablemente no estoy siendo nada objetiva.

Although I began to crochet this blanket at such a delicate time for my family and me, or maybe because of it, this blanket has ended up being very appreciated by me and I’m probably being nothing objective.
