For months now we at est hq have been fastidiously following
This celebration of beauty in all its forms is on show here in this Swedish home, located on an island a couple of kilometres outside Stockholm. Overseeing the renovation and interior design of what was originally a 1950s villa, Liljencrantz Design have created a space that not only feels far from its midcentury origins but exudes a sense of timelessness. Having selected every piece specifically for its space and circumstances, the collection of features in the home gives a gallery-like setting, while the natural surrounds beckon from large glass doors and balcony spaces.
Housing a family of five, the top floor accommodates the three daughters, each with their own living room and bathroom. The main floor provides a communal meeting point in the home with the large kitchen, dining and living area and doors to open out to large veranda. The ground floor mixes business and pleasure, with a spa, yoga studio, laundry room and two offices tucked neatly away. While this home may fulfil many objectives, there’s no clutter to be seen, no clumsy design element to find – too bad we can only experience it through Instagram at the moment!
