Karimoku Case Study at Kinfolk

For the third year in a row I visited Copenhagen’s 3 days of Design last month and I think it was the best version till now. Only a few weeks after Milan Design week it was a pleasure to see new Scandinavian collections and brand launches. Real highlights were the new spaces by both Frama and Menu and I have a few other favourites I will try to show more off soon. First though the launch of contemporary lifestyle brand Karimoku Case Study with an exhibition at the Kinfolk Gallery.

Emerged from shared design values, Karimoku Case Study is a contemporary lifestyle brand, based in Japan and born out of admiration and love for serene beauty, material richness and timeless appeal. The Case Study collections are brought to life by world-renowned architects through individual cases, and the story of each collection is told through its native setting.

The brand’s first furniture collection by Norm Architects and Keiji Ashizawa can still be viewed until June 7th at the Kinfolk Gallery. Alongside the works of local creatives, the exhibition is thoughtfully curated in an apartment setting, drawing on Japanese and Danish design aesthetics, quality craftsmanship and organic shapes
