If you’re choosing a flower to paint, look no further than the Mexican Ivy. This flower really has it all; a bell-shaped form, perfect for creating a 3D effect. Rich purple hues to draw your eye to the petals. A crown of mosaic-like sepals sitting on the top, and below, elegant filaments extending out to the patterned anther. And this particular one has some visiting wildlife as a bonus. In this video, I’ll show you the process I followed to paint this most regal of flowers.
