Well, I looked for ideas on the net, rummaged through my boxes of sewing material and yarn… and got down to work away with this purpose in mind.
Bueno, consulté ideas en la red, rebusque en mis cajas de material costura y ganchillo… y me puse a trabajar con este propósito en mente.

The crochet solid square I’ve made is based on and which I’ve always liked it. However, I’ve made some variations of this pattern on my own:
1.- I wished to well define the flower in the middle, so I added a first round of single crochet stitches.
2.- In addition, I needed it to be a little more solid: so fewer chains and more double crochet stitches.

El cuadrado sólido de ganchillo que he hecho se basa en un patrón muy similar que y que siempre me ha gustado. He hecho algunas variaciones del patrón por mi cuenta:
1.- Deseaba definir mejor la flor central, por eso añadí una primera vuelta de puntos bajos.
2.- Además, necesitaba que fuera un poco más sólido: menos cadenetas y más puntos altos.

Round 1: Begin with an adjustable ring, ch 1, make 8 sc in the ring. Adjust the ring and join to the first sc with 1 ss to close de rnd.

Round 5: Idem Round 4.
? Repeat Round 4 until you get a 20 x 20 cm (7.87″ x 7.87″) square, or the desired measurement.
? Make 2 squares and join them by 3 sides with a single crochet stitches round as follows: Face both squares by their reverses. Begin this round in any corner. Inserting the hook through the 3 chains in both squares corners, take a loop and make 1 cad + 1 sc in this space. Make 1 sc in each stitch or chain around, always inserting the hook through both squares. Complete 3 sides and fasten off.
Then, make an extra round of crab stitches (ie, single crochet reverse stitches, worked from left to right) on the top of the bag as a border. explains how to do it pretty well.
? Shoulder i-cord: It’s very easy to make this crochet i-cord following the great video-tutorial that you can find . I added tassels to the i-cord ends. If you need help to do it, there is another great tutorial .
? I lined the inside of the bag with fabric, and fixed the rings where to tie the i-cord. Finally, I added the fringes and beads at the bottom of the bag.

? Hacer 2 cuadrados iguales y unirlos por 3 de sus lados con una vuelta de punto bajo del siguiente modo: Encarar los cuadrados con el revés hacia dentro. Empezar la vuelta en una de las esquinas insertando la aguja a través de las 3 cadenetas de ambos cuadrados, para coger la hebra y hacer 1 cad + 1 pb. Continuar haciendo 1 pb en cada punto o cadeneta siguientes, insertando siempre la aguja a través de ambos cuadrados. Al completar tres lados, cortar el hilo y rematar. En el borde superior, hacer una vuelta adicional de punto de cangrejo (es decir, punto bajo trabajado al revés, de izquierda a derecha). explica estupendamente cómo hacerlo.
? Asa del bolso: Es muy fácil hacer este cordón siguiendo el estupendo tutorial que encontraréis . Añadí unas borlas a los extremos del cordón. Si necesitáis ayuda para hacerlas, existe también otro estupendo tutorial .
? Forré el interior en tela y fijé las arandelas donde anudar el asa a ambos extremos del forro. Finalmente, añadí los los flecos y las cuentas en la parte inferior del bolso.
I made a second crochet bag for my daughter in a different kind of yarn, a remaining one that was wandering by here since the Pleistocene. This yarn is a little bit thicker so I got a 20 x 20 cm square in just 8 rounds.
