Let’s take a closer look at the details of this beautiful, open kitchen. In true Joanna fashion, the walls are covered in white shiplap. However, in this particular space, the shiplap feels less cottage-like and instead a bit more modern. Paired with the overhead wood beams and exposed metal elements, the kitchen has a much more industrial farmhouse vibe.

The countertops appear to be concrete with a waterfall edge, once again contributing to that industrial vibe. The iron shelving unit that is mounted to the ceiling is a work of art and a great way to add extra storage in a kitchen that really only has one side of cabinets.

The duct work on the vent is left exposed, which is a unique element and focal point, as well.

The exterior doors in the room are painted black, to beautifully contrast with all the white in the room, and to tie in with some of the other elements in the kitchen. The barstools seamlessly tie all of these colors and textures together. We love the overall look and feel in this space!
