From the “Fixer Upper” Hot Sauce House

Do you love the look as well, but don’t know where to start in your own home? We’ve got some easy to follow tips and have rounded up similar items from this space so you can recreate the look in your own living room or other areas of your house!

START WITH NEUTRAL WALLS

The foundation starts with warm white walls. We’d recommend a color similar to Benjamin Moore Simply White. The overall effect is clean and polished, yet not overly stark.

ADD WOOD TONES

Natural wood tones add such great warmth to rooms that may otherwise feel stark and cold. Joanna is a master at incorporating wood tones in her designs and she layers them so well! From those stunning ceiling beams (not original to the house!) to the dark hardwood floors, to the wood furniture and fireplace mantle, the space oozes with charm and gives a worn-in vibe.

ADD TEXTURE WITH NEUTRAL TEXTILES

This room proves that a room full of neutrals is anything but boring when done correctly! Although there are very few colors throughout the space, the varying shades of white and beige in different textures create interest and a super cozy vibe.

INCORPORATE GREENERY

I say this frequently, but greenery adds so much more life to a room. Add some greenery stems to vases on your coffee table, add a real or faux planted tree, and add other splashes of green around the room to create more life. You can see these additional touches in the same pots on the fireplace and the abundance of dark green books throughout the room!
