Happy Friday again, Remodelaholics! I see lots of folks finishing up the school year, so I feel very spoiled to be finishing up our second week of summer break… spoiled and also tired because summer fun is a lot of work

Favorite fake-out: We are all about giving builder-grade basics a custom look on a budget, so this faux brick archway at caught our eye right away — such an awesome way to make an arched doorway a focal point! Favorite easy peasy DIY: This summer, I’m working really hard to simplify things instead of complicate them, so Roxanne’s super simple and easy wreath at looks right up my easy peasy alley — could be fun to try with the kids, too!
Favorite hidden storage: I love hiding super functional storage in beautiful pieces, and this slide-away shoe storage cabinet by is amazing! Get the details .
Favorite outdoor space: Since we’ve been working so hard on our patio, I’ve been enjoying seeing other DIYers’ spaces, too — doesn’t ‘s patio look comfortable!
Favorite example that paint can do anything: Marie over at painted a cheap plastic scale to look like a vintage metal scale — the power of paint!
