I’ve got an easy slip dress outfit idea for you today! For years I have felt intimidated by slip dresses and I cannot understand why because it’s F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S. Okay, so here’s the thing… I was a kid in the 90s. I was also a teen. My mom had a ton of rules. This slip dress outfit would never be allowed.

So with the 90s trend coming back a second time around, I am SO EXCITED.

Slip dress, check!
Hair barrette, check!
Pearls, check!
Combat boots, check!

The thing I’m not redoing are those thin brows again, haha!

Okay, so when I started working on this slip dress, I decided to search through my current dress pattern collection and found this slip dress that is supposed to be worn under another dress. I used this vintage vogue pattern by Donna Karan, V2784.

The color is fun, too! I don’t wear a ton a blue but I should. I had so much fun wearing this! Blue is a great color this season, we’re seeing on the runways for springs like, Dice Hayek, Boss, and Fendi.

So I’m excited to play with this look for spring and ditch the sweater while we move into summer (yay!!). So let me know what you think of this look!  HOW would you wear it? Also, please come visit me on Instagram, @RivaLaDiva and/or on Facebook at Riva La Diva! It a great way of staying up to date and get sneak peeks of my newest adventures!

mucho besos my darlings,

Riva

ps. I have just enough to make a mask, should I make one?
