“This old-world-meets-five-star-hotel bathroom renovation is perfect amounts soothing and stunning. Inspired by a stay in a floor to ceiling plaster covered Grecian villa, we took our client’s request for a blush bathroom and tweaked it to read more like a neutral terracotta as to not overwhelm the senses. We chose a floor pattern with a nod to old world Europe but with a modern geometric twist. With all the attention on the floors and walls, we kept it very simple for the vanity and added just a little pop of color to the vanity.”

“We designed it to have low-key elegance and glamour while feeling comfortable, useful, textured and touchable. We created contrast between the bright and clean whitewalls in the main living space to bolder tones in the smaller spaces like the office, painted in a bold green, and the wallpapered powder room. The primary bedroom was created to be calming, warm and layered with grey linen lush bedding, heavy chocolate velvet curtains and tall built-in wardrobes. The adjoining wet room was plastered in a blush tone with a modern tub, black framed shower glass and bold colorful marble tile on the floor. The kitchen was made for entertaining with a 5x8ft marble island and an accordion door on the far wall allowing for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Every piece of art in the space, including in the entry way gallery wall, was collected from their life together and their travels around the world. We turned the tiny second bedroom into a meditations pace with a custom upholstered mustard velvet bench for resting and built-in shelves to house health books, nicknacks from travel and extra storage. This cozy urban remodel became a downtown haven for our clients for years to come.”
