Jennifer is a creative dynamo. I am so excited to share my friend with you today, she is so cool and such an amazing businesswoman, wife and mother! She’s barely 40, yet for 20 years she’s been running – and now as a CEO!
If you don’t know about Blickfang, it’s Europe’s largest international design fair for young designers in German-speaking Europe. This fair has launched many careers for new, independent designers. She is also soon to launch a shopping event called in 2020 in Cologne, Berlin and Stuttgart. Her goal with this: to innovate the fair format and make it fun for both consumer and seller – and allow people to visit and shop, eat, take workshops, have a cocktail, listen to a DJ and network.
In this podcast, the lovely Jennifer explains how she got into this field, what challenges young designers face, what she’s doing to freshen up the typical fair format, career advice for designers, work/life balance, and so much more.
Jennifer is bubbly, funny, full of wisdom and energy, and best of all – she’s my friend so I value so much that she’s part of this podcast. I also imagine some of you will listen to her words and walk away ready to do great things in your own life. At least, I hope so.
