While I like to make things look nice, I’m all about the shortcuts at this time of year. What’s the point of stressing yourself out when this should be the time you relax, reflect, feast and enjoy spending time with your friends and family.
One of my favourite shortcuts is to dress up any basic cake cake with some fun and festive cake toppers. This Christmas I’ve partnered with
These Christmas tree cake toppers are really quick to make and will add a festive touch to any cake. You can also make smaller versions and top little cupcakes with them. All you need is some cake pop sticks, wood veneer and a hot glue gun. You can make these up in 10 minutes and pop them in your cake or cupcakes for a minimal but stylish festive feel.
DIY Christmas tree cake toppers
Materials:
wooden cake pop sticks
sharp craft knife and ruler
hot glue gun
I’m sure you can see how easy these tree cake toppers are to make.
Draw your tree triangle out on the back of the wood veneer and cut the trees using a ruler and a very sharp craft knife. Take a cake pop stick and using your hot glue gun, add a line of glue to the stick and glue on to the back of the wood veneer trees.
These diy Christmas tree cake toppers will work really well on a traditional white iced Christmas cake too, especially if you like a minimal look to your festive decor.
Will you try making these?
