Create a flock of sheep for your Easter table, and don’t be sheepish about how cute they are! This is an activity older kids could do, if they’re not too busy eating jelly beans and Cadbury Crème Eggs, while the adults are preparing the meal. If you can’t find the pre-cut scalloped cards in time, just cut out a 3 ½” x 5” oval and you’re good to go.

Materials needed: white scallop cards, white card stock, pink paper, mini clothespins, tape, pen and ink, scissors, scalloped scissors, black pen.

Step 1: With scalloped scissors, cut out a 2” x 2 ½” oval for the head.
Step 2: With regular scissors, cut out two 1” x ¼” white ear shapes. Cut out smaller matching pink shapes, and glue to the center of the white ear shapes.
Step 3: Glue the ears to each side of the white oval.
Step 4: With black pen, draw two eyes, then draw the nose and mouth, which is made up of a “U” shape on top of a “J” and a backward “J” shape.
Step 5: Roll a piece of tape into a loop, and attach the head to the body.
Step 6: Write, paint, or stamp your guests names onto the body of the sheep. Clip two mini clothespins on for legs. You may need to adjust the angle and placement of the clothespins to get the sheep to stand on their own, and I found that they are much happier standing on a hard surface like a plate, as opposed to a soft tablecloth.
