Did you click the link? Aren’t those darlings? Don’t you want some? I know I wanted them and so what did I do? I grabbed some polymer clay, shaped them into balls, centered a whole and add them to earrings. FAIL.
Do not try this, THESE ARE TOO HEAVY and your earlobes will be stretched to the floor if you did… ew, no bueno. I have to be honest, it was totally by accident that I came across the idea to use some felt balls from
DIY Triple Tiered Drop Earrings
• Felt balls (from
• Fish hook earring findings (
• 1 skein of embroidery thread (I used white),
• Embroidery needle.
Directions:
- First thing’s first, decide how you want to arrange your colors, solid colors? Ombre? Just figure out an arranged color of some short. Remember, you are the designer, so go for it! here’s what I grabbed below…
- Second, cut 2(15 inch) pieces of yarn from your embroidery skein and thread your needle.
- Thread your needle and run your needle through the center of your felt balls (see below).
- Go through the earring hole and back through the rest of your felt balls and tie ends together at the end. Snip the excess tails and you are DONE!
This was a fun tutorial because I have been dying to share this one with you for quite some time annnnd they are so easy to make! I’ve tried so many attempts to figure out the best way to recreate those triple tiered earrings and after visiting my cousin Aubry over at
As far as these earrings go, when I when I wear them, I feel so fun and happy, I get compliments galore, they are so easy to make, lightweight, AND most importantly, they will not put a dent on your bank account… need I say more?Dang, I LOVE them.
With that said, I’m so glad you came to by blog and hoping you give this tutorial a try!
Thanks so much for stopping by and have a glamorous day!
