Steps:

1.Roll out a piece of clay 0.2 inches thick. Take a round object of your choice and leave an impression over the clay, you will need this in order to keep the design within the boundary.

2.Choose the clay cutter of your choice and cut out some clay making sure to leave quite some space in between and keep away from the edges as you don’t want them to come out fragile and break eventually. These are the ones that I ended up using namely the diamond, heart, stars, eye shape, circle and my favorite triangle.

3.Place your round object back over the clay and cut off excess clay with the help of your cutter to ascertain your coaster. With wet fingers correct any rough edges and then you may leave them for a day and half to dry completely.

4. Now that your coasters have dried go ahead and tape half the coaster like so. You may then paint the free side one by one with the help of a foam brush both front and back. Fill the nooks and crannies with a brush.

If you noticed, I had some white mixed into each of these colors to achieve the pastel color that you see, its a very good option to mix 2:1 white with color of choice to make your own pastel colors if you don’t already have them at your disposal.

Set them aside to dry, then you can go ahead and remove the tape carefully. You are done here, all you got to do now is to invite some friends and have fun. I made a lemonade to assuage my thirst and nibbled on to some fresh strawberries and blueberries.
