Difference (Non) Crochet Accents Make to a Project
When working on a project, regardless whether it is crochet related or not, accents can take it up a notch higher and more beautiful and appealing.

When I say accents, I think of small elements that add up to the whole project, making it more vivid and animated, giving it texture and depth.

In crochet, those little accents can be:
* pecks of tiny flowers
* small leaves and chains
* crochet buttons

Non-crochet accents can be:
* tulle/ fabric segments / roses
* fabric/ tulle/pearl/wooden beads
* fabric / artificial flowers
* ribbons & lace
* feathers
* buttons

The list can go on and on, depending on the style you appreciate and want to implement.

Here’s an example with one of my banners. For the above one, as you can see from the picture, I used crocheted buttons and chains, some tulle, feathers and a velvet rose.

For this one I went even more adventurous and used ribbons and pearl beads along with the crochet buttons, chains and small leaves.

Here’s the difference:

The first one is without those small accents. The second has chains and small leaves and buttons, while the last one is the most decorated of all. Now, I will say again – enriching it depends on your style and design you appreciate. Some like it simple, others a bit kitschy. As for me – I opted for the one in the middle.
