Maybe it’s a striking colour palette or bold designer furnishings in every living room corner, or perhaps it’s a jaw-dropping kitchen space. Lately, however, we’ve been seeing an emerging expression of interior style – the statement bathroom. From to , the bathroom is no longer simply a space to clean up, it’s an opportunity to reflect your personal taste in an intimate setting.
Where to start then in building your own signature bathroom style? Anyone who has undertaken a bathroom renovation will know that function is just as important as form, and for that we dove into to build the backbone of three very different bathroom spaces. In partnership with , we asked three design insiders; interior architect , creative director and est Managing Director Miffy Coady to share their signature bathroom style, exploring how every detail from tapware to towels can create a complete visual aesthetic that’s unique and unforgettably you.
“My bathroom style is timeless, refined, serene, easy to clean, with concealed practical storage and hints of the client’s personality making their cameo through hardware accessories like lighting, mirrors and hooks, and unique joinery design that is treated more like furniture. I like to support local design and craftsmanship where possible and include contrasting textures within the minimal material palette to create warmth and softening to a usually cold hard bathroom space.”
