Crochet & Fabric Covered Rings
Crochet & Fabric Covered Rings
A couple of weeks ago when I made this mixed media necklace, I simply knew I would delve on the topic more as these little projects were / are like a breath of fresh air. I am one of those persons who relaxes from crochet by tackling another crochet project and these were the intermezzo I needed between my time-consuming projects.

If you want to make something similar – here’s how I did it.
You need fabric covered or ordinary buttons. The pattern for this particular pattern is for a button 2,5cm in diameter. I used sport yarn and a 1.9 mm hook.

Sew the button onto it. Now for the outer petaled cover.

Round 2: sc2 in all sts. (12)
Round 3: sc1 in one st., sc2 in next (18)
Round 4: repeat rnd 3 (27)
Round 5: (you work this in the same stitch) ch2, hdc2, ch2 and sl st (all into the same stitch), sk2 sts, sl st in third and repeat above pattern. Work tails. Sew this on the button.

Now, I made these into rings, for which I had adjustable rings glued at the back, but these would also be lovely as brooches too. So you can add a brooch pin and have a unique accessory.

Do let me know if you make them!
