Boho Style - DIY HairclipsWe may be wearing Thanksgiving pants all year long on our zoom calls, but what about our accessories from the waist up? I’m here for you. Here are some cute Boho Style hair accessories that you can make in no time! What’s even more fun is that they are so easy to make, and are super cute gifts too! Read on for the tutorial!

Boho Style? What’s That?

Boho style is short for bohemian style, which is basically a relaxed natural way of living. Today’s boho is inspired by lifestyles and fashion of hippies from the 1960s and 1970s. Long flowing skirts, natural materials like linen, beads, and fringe have all been inspiration for the boho-chic clothes, accessories and even home decor we see today. For our quick and easy tutorial, I used a natural element like rattan to use as my main element for the hair clips, but you can use any natural material you want that can be glued on to the gold hair clips.

What You Need To Make Boho Style Hair Clips with Rattan

  • Gold Hair Clips with Flat Glue Pad (I got mine on Etsy). The flat glue pad is there for you to decorate and customize your hair clips
  • Strong glue
  • Rattan clusters – I linked the search for rattan on Etsy so that you can choose your own style. Feel free to browse other natural materials!

How To Make Boho Style Hair Clips with Rattan

There is just one easy step to this super easy tutorial:
Adhere each of your rattan clusters or natural elements to the flat glue pad of your bobby pin with a strong glue!

I love the texture and natural style that the rattan adds to any handmade accessory. You can make a bunch of them at one time and package them off as gifts! Remember to keep a few for yourself to wear on that video call and let me know how your boho chic accessories turned out!
