It might look familiar. But in fact, it’s unlike anything you’ve seen before. So, what makes the all-new BMW X5 different?
It’s longer, taller and wider than the previous model, giving you added space with extra style. It’s equipped with the latest BMW laser lights that offer a longer visibility range of 500 meters and tail-lights that feature 3D wraparound-style LEDs. And for the first time in any BMW, 22-inch alloy wheels. For an impressive entrance and exit, the all-new BMW X5 is equipped with the Welcome Carpet Light. Inside, discover the new meaning of ambient lighting. The Dynamic Interior Light flashes lights to alert you to everything from a phone call to opening a door when the engine is still running. The interior now offers two 12.3 inch fully-digital displays and the center Control Display can be operated with either touch, gesture, or iDrive controller. Luxury options include a sophisticated glass-trim on the gear selector, Touch controller, start/stop button as well as the volume controls. For added comfort, the front console’s cup holders can help keep beverages either hot or chilled. In addition, now you can wirelessly charge your phone and get rid of all the cables. It also features the ambient air package featuring 8 different magical fragrances to choose from. Last but not the least, the sunroof is now 30% larger, and the optional Sky Lounge with 15,000 LED Lights evoke a mesmerizing starry sky at night.
But it isn’t all about looks. The new X5 is smart, too.
Next time you’re stuck in stop-and-go traffic, you can sit back and relax. The new Traffic Jam assistant provides active steering support and allows the car to automatically maintain the desired distance from the vehicle ahead as well as regulating the car’s speed down to standstill if needed.
With Reversing Assist, getting out of a tricky spot is a breeze. The new X5 uses saved information from the last 50 meters of driving to navigate you out the exact way you came in, safely and hands free. All you have to do is accelerate and brake.
There’s also Parking Assist, which allows the new BMW X5 to park itself by identifying an available parallel parking space and manoeuvre into even the tightest spot. Instead of having to worry about the parking, I can finally enjoy the last sip of my morning coffee…
So now you know: the new X5 is more spacious, with a series of innovative luxuries and state-of-the-art technology making it different than its predecessor.
