The key design components at play are minimalist lines, bold shapes and grand scales that bring about a present-day edge to the original architecture. Along with some sculptural changes, a symphony of varying blues was introduced to revitalise each space. Spanning from midnight blue to ultramarine, there’s a fresh sense of calm that the new blue hues present. Paired alongside a grounding base of grey, white and timber tones, the almost imperial accents help to create a cohesiveness and connect the heritage ceiling details and architraves- as well as offer some serious personality punch.
Additions to the musically minded inhabitants of the house have been thoughtfully woven throughout the home with detailing that includes custom joinery in the designated music room. This has been designed (and disguised) to accommodate everyone’s instruments, as well as a new sound system and speakers.
