The creative team from
They design mainly clubs, bars, restaurants and cafes but they can also be convinced to design apartments and residential spaces. The projects they deliver are the result of collaborations with various artists that specialize in graffiti, wrought iron manipulation, ceramic, sculpture, painting and various other things. The result is always something original and extraordinary.
As always, there’s a deeper meaning behind the design, one that goes beyond looks and function. The concept for this project was based on a desire to create a cafe similar to a space where inventors might have gathered in the past to present their creations. This explains the unusual items displayed on the walls.
The decor is inspired by famous inventors and sci-fi writers that proved to be visionary. There are also lots of references to the industrial revolution. For example, the walls are decorated with images of steam-powered vehicles such as trains, ships or aircrafts.
The bar area is particularly interesting, The area behind the actual bar looks a bit like the laboratory of a mad scientist, featuring chemistry lab glassware, thermoteters and nanometers. The shelves are made of metal and they’re framed by elegant baroque details and accent lighting.
The tables and the chairs are made of metal and they are adjustable, offering various seating positions designed to make visitors feel comfortable and at home in this unusual decor. All the furniture and all the decorations of the walls and ceiling were made in Cluj, Romania and then transported to Komotini in Greece.
The bar front is decorated with cog wheels, chains, lights and gears and has become one of the attrations of the cafe. These elements were gathered by the designers and repurposed. They’re known for their ingenuity in this sense, being an element that defines all of their projects.
The space is decorated with all sorts of prototype machines which were custom-designed for the project. They are exhibited on the walls together with framed portraits of inventors and sketches of their creations. There are 12 such miniature inventions which were designed to introduce the visitors into a fantasy world.
The most eye-catching and complex feature would have to be the solar system planetarium that hangs from the ceiling. It symbolizes the perpetual motion of the planet sugesting that their movement around the sun is similar in a certain way to the way all sorts of new and ingenious ideas invade the minds of great inventors.
All of these unique decor elements are a symbol of the visionary character that drives our society. This is a project that reminds us the fact that the univers has been the source of inspiration for lots of great minds.
