As I mentioned here before, the first months of the year are my least favorite time of the year season wise. For every sunny day there are at least two very grey ones and the fact that daylight time is so scarce adds up to these first two months being rather gloomy to say the least. I tend to make small changes to my interior to accommodate for this transformation away from the cozy interior full of minimal Christmas decor but not yet this spring vibe that I’m so looking forward to. My home is kind of in an intermediate state where I change things around to make it more bright and light, but don’t yet introduce more Spring appropriate items like more colorful accessories or pillow cases.

I made a little makeover to my living room and balanced things out with a more light and quiet color palette. Tints of grey, beige, white and wood tones make for the perfect setting during these darker days and to top things off, I tried out a flower subscription to get a fresh bouquet delivered straight to my door. I love the fresh colors in my neutral living room setting. Usually I will have a few darker pillow cases or black accent furniture pieces in my living room, but since I don’t at the moment, the flower bouquet is the only contrasting item here and it just pops out of the interior in a way. Not to mention the scent of freshly cut flowers, delivered straight from the grower, that great me in the morning when entering my living room. It gives me the slightest hint that Spring will come, which is exactly what I need during these darker February days.

I got the medium sized bouquet, which looks really impressive in my small living room and I love that the flowers are seasonal and there is a different bouquet every time, designed with the flowers currently in season. It’s a mixture of leafs, stalks, big and small flowers that together form a pretty bouquet, delivered right to your door. I love the surprise element and like that someone is picking out the flowers for me. It’s the perfect pick me up for your home to brighten up these darker months of the year.
