Located in western Slovakia’s Malá Fatra Mountains, this contemporary cabin embraces the surrounding natural habitat.

Matika Architecture's Mountain Hut is located in the mountains of Slovakia.

Nestled in a pine tree forest along a small creek on the south-facing side of a mountain, this mountain hut sits on the foundation of the property’s previous structure. Matika Architecture, an architectural studio based in Prague, Czech Republic, designed the home with nature in mind. The 1,130-square-foot cabin is made from organic materials like “pure” wood, stone, and glass to help it blend in with its natural surroundings.
