Hair guidance (and general life advice) from Parisian hair colorist to the stars, Christophe Robin, no longer requires a plane ticket to Paris. Robin has opened a three-week long pop-up in New York City, where you can get products and advice from the master, and even test Robin’s eponymous haircare goods. He’ll be taking appointments from April 3 to April 22 at 42 Hudson Street in Tribeca.
Instead of a traditional starkly lit and decorated salons, Robin prefers to make his namesake spaces feel like home. “I never follow the trends. I like it to be crazy, like my house,” he says. And crazy to this très chic Parisian means Tony Duquette wall coverings (Robin’s own from his home), Baccarat crystal lamps, Madeline Weinrib rugs and chairs, and vintage knick knacks. Robin says the place is “overloaded with things, I don’t like minimal things at all!”
Christophe’s number one decorating mantra? Surround yourself with things you love. “I love things that make me smile—little tiny, tacky things. And sometimes I like to mix very beautiful pieces with funny little pieces.” Here, he does just that with aplomb—not to mention some pretty fantastic hair, as well.

A selection of eye-catching Assouline books are placed around the pop-up to add to the home-y vibes.
The lush (and dreamy!) couch is clad in velvet—a favorite fabric choice for Robin. And cozy seating is yet another example of decorating your workspace like your home. “I spend my days here, so I want it to be like my home,” he explains.
The pop-up is open until April 22 in New York City. Stop by to meet the charismatic Christophe Robin and enjoy a slice of Parisian home decor inspiration.
