After sewing up 4 free pincushion sewing patterns earlier this month, I ended up with a huge list of other pincushion tutorials that I just loved! Instead of trying to sew them all, I figured I’d put them in one list post to share instead. Pincushions are such a fun gift to sew, they use up scraps really well, and are usually quick and easy. Between patchwork, english paper piecing, foundation paper piecing, embroidery, and felt accents, I think everyone will be able to find a tutorial that they just love!

What do you fill your pincushions with? I usually use a mix of Poly-Fill and tiny fabric scraps shredded up (one of my tips for using up knit fabric scraps), but I know lots of people love filling them with crushed walnut shells*. I’d never thought about filling them with emery fillings to sharpen pins, but now I know thanks to one of the tutorials below!
Please pin the collage above and click through directly to the pages below if you want to pin individual pictures! Holler out in the comments if I’ve missed one of your favorite tutorials so I can add it.
