Having pets has definitely changed how I approach my home decor. Last fall, my husband and I added a yellow lab puppy named Zoey to our family. Zoey is 6 months old now and full of energy. She is especially fond of my 11-year-old cat Harper—Harper is less than thrilled with our little addition but she makes do.

As a pet owner it’s important to me that I design our home to better serve our pets’ needs as well as our own. Luckily, there are a lot of pet-friendly home decor tips out there to inspire and improve the homes of pet owners like me.

I’ve rounded up my favorite tips to show you the endless possibilities when it comes to pet-friendly home decor. So many of these ideas would make a huge difference in the organization and appearance of my own home. Hopefully, this list will help all of you fellow pet owners out too!
